Location Recce

Activity at Location
Location issues including lighting, permission, power available, public, police and council granted.
Audio problems
Action to overcome it
Location 1- Studio at Gateshead College
This is in a studio that I have booked each Thursday between the hours of 1 and 3. Therefore the permission I need is granted by the college, which I do have. The studio has a sufficient supply of lights of filming as well as sockets for power and it doesn’t affect anyone. I would not have to gain permission this includes public, council and the police.
There are no audio issues as this is for a music video therefore the soundtrack is the only audio that will be heard and needed.
Gained College permission for both equipment and studio. I book the studio a week in advance for every time I use it.  The equipment comes with lights, camera and tripod.
Location2- Newcastle city centre
Location uses natural lighting, which could affect the end product of the video because I will be shooting outside several times where it will be at different times of the day so I have to make sure I achieve the same kind of natural lighting in order to create a good music video. I don’t require any power as I will use a fully charged battery for the camera. I am not filming the

I will shoot at the same time everyday and will gain most of the footage in one day so there isn’t much contrast in the different footage. I will fully charge the cameras battery before filming.
Location 3- My own house
My own house will not have any studio lighting however I will using natural lighting in the middle of the day when the sun is out however as we are now entering December this will be hard as must of the day will be dark. I don’t need permission to film and It doesn’t affect the public and no one will be in the footage so no permission at all is required. It does have a sufficient amount of power, so the camera will always have power.
Location 3 requires me to record the crackling of a record player because the sound is how I introduce the music video and its soundtrack. I do have the microphones to record this and I do have permission from the college that the equipment belongs to, to use the equipment.
Always keep the camera charged, only film in one room with the same lighting and only film at the same time of each day. This will make up for the lack of studio lights.
